Scholarships for Materials Science Majors

Materials science majors are like the chefs of the science world – over the course of their education, they learn about all the natural and man-made materials that make up the “ingredients” of the structures around us. If you’re looking for ways to pay for your education in materials science, a scholarship may be able to help. Many of the available scholarships are offered by professional organizations, including the Minerals, Metals and Materials Society, the American Physical Society, the Association for Iron & Steel Technology and the American Society for Metals International, although scholarships provided by individual universities are also available. Some of these scholarships have relatively general requirements, such as undergraduate status and a declared major in materials science, while others have more specific requirements, like a particular focus of study or a minimum grade point average. If you’re interested in discovering more scholarships for materials science majors, continue reading below.
