Scholarships for Architectural Engineering Majors
Architectural engineering majors combine the fields of architecture and engineering into one area of study that allows them to design and engineer buildings. The next time a new skyscraper pops up in your city’s skyline, you can be sure that an architectural engineer helped get it there. If you’d like to become an architectural engineer but first need to figure out how to pay for your education, a scholarship may be able to provide some assistance. Many of the available scholarships are offered by nonprofit organizations, such as the Siemens Foundation, the Barry Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Foundation and the American Architectural Foundation. Others are offered by individual colleges and universities, such as Kansas State University, Iowa State University, the University of Maryland and California Polytechnic State University. Applicants will typically need to submit their official transcripts and meet a minimum GPA, although additional criteria may need to be met.
