Wrestling Scholarships
Although wrestling seems like a small sport when compared to a veritable behemoth like college football or basketball, there are still a number of wrestling scholarships available. Some of the available scholarships are offered by organizations such as the National Collegiate Athletic Association, the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics and the National Junior College Athletic Association. Additionally, Division I and II colleges and universities award athletes with sports-based scholarships, while Division III colleges and universities award athletes with academics-based scholarships. Requirements may vary depending on which scholarship you apply to, but students will usually need to make it onto the wrestling team of their college of choice, meet a minimum grade point average, demonstrate a certain level of financial need or submit official transcripts.
