Scholarships for Wayne County (OH) Residents
Although Anthony Wayne, a famous officer of the Revolutionary War after whom Wayne County, Ohio is named did not complete his college education, residents of Wayne County may be eligible for college scholarships just by living there. Many of the available scholarships are provided by the Wayne County Community Foundation, while a number of others are funded by the county’s individual colleges, including the Ohio State University Agricultural Technical Institute, University of Akron Wayne College and the College of Wooster. Each scholarships has its own set of eligibility requirements, but, generally speaking, applying students will need to meet a minimum grade point average, demonstrate a certain level of financial need, belong to a certain minority group or gender or obtain letters of recommendation.
