Volleyball Scholarships
Are you a member of your high school's volleyball team? Well, your skills on the court can pay dividends off the court in the form of scholarships that can help pay for your college education. While more programs are currently available for women's volleyball, scholarships for men's volleyball are growing as more schools add competitive men's volleyball programs. Many volleyball scholarships are offered by colleges and universities with these types of programs at Division I, II and III levels. The NCAA lists schools with Division I and II programs, while the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) provides information about schools with Division III programs. A minimum GPA of 2.0 and achievement of specific SAT scores are among the eligibility requirements of many school-based scholarships. Some privately-funded memorial athletic scholarships are also available, though many are general scholarships available to all athletes so those seeking a volleyball scholarship will compete with athletes of other sports for the award. More details about volleyball scholarships, including requirements and sources of funding, are found in the list below.
