Scholarships for Teaching Majors

Teaching is one of the most important professions a person can pursue. And if you are being called to become a teacher, there's good news: Many community foundations, government agencies and other organizations want to help you realize your goal by providing scholarships for teaching majors. Some of these scholarships are set aside for high school seniors who plan on majoring in teaching in college. Others are available to students already studying at accredited 2- and 4-year institutions. Additional requirements vary, from merit-based scholarships, to service agreements that require teaching commitments following graduation. Eligibility also may be tied to financial need.
