Scholarships for Sportsmanship

Being an all-star athlete is not the only way to pay for college through sports. Some scholarships available to athletes place good sportsmanship above athletic ability. Scholarships for sportsmanship are often offered by national and local nonprofit foundations and are usually awarded to graduating high school seniors who are headed to accredited academic institutions. These scholarships evaluate applicants based on how they have demonstrated character and respect for others on the playing field. Some may also factor in athletic performance and financial need. Many of these scholarships require the submission of a personal statement and letters of recommendation. If you are an upstanding athlete who has demonstrated good sportsmanship, find a scholarship in list below.
