Scholarships for Sociology Majors
Students of sociology focus on the nature and workings of society. It’s a broad field with lost of fascinating areas to explore. But like most other majors, it can be expensive to get a degree in sociology. Don’t let that deter you, though, because there are a number of scholarships out there geared towards students of social science. Many universities with sociology programs offer university-specific sociology scholarships. National professional organizations also provide opportunities for sociology students to pay for their school and gain experience. To apply for one of these scholarships, you will need to provide a transcript, and you will probably have to have a GPA of at least a 3.0, perhaps higher.
