Scholarships for Welding Engineering Majors
While most people think of welding only as a process involving very hot metal, welding engineering majors know better than anyone else that there’s much more to welding than meets the eye. If you’re a Welding Engineering major trying to figure out how you’re going to pay for the cost of your degree, it might be worth your while to apply to one or more scholarships. Many of the available scholarships are offered by the American Welding Society, which offers district, national and international scholarships. Others are provided by individual colleges and universities such as Ohio State University, Ferris State University, the Pennsylvania College of Technology, Sheffield State University, Cranfield University and the New England Institute of Technology. In general, potential recipients will need to meet a minimum grade point average, demonstrate a certain level of financial need, submit official transcripts or provide a Student Aid Report (SAR).
