Vineyards, golf course, breweries and zoos--there’s no shortage of things to do in Union County, North Carolina. If you’d rather attend college than work on your backswing, however, then you’re in luck: you could be eligible for one or more college scholarships, simply for living in Union County. Many of the available scholarships are provided by the Union County Community Foundation, which awards more than $1 million in scholarship grants every year. Others are provided by nearby colleges such as South Piedmont Community College, Wingate University, Gaston College, Queens University of Charlotte and Fayetteville State University.
