Scholarships for Presbyterians
Obtaining a scholarship is often based on several factors, including academic achievement and financial need. Some scholarships are open to students who belong to a specific faith; for instance, if you are Presbyterian, there are scholarships you can apply for based on your religious affiliation. Most of these types of scholarships are local awards available through the Presbyterian Church. Some of these scholarships require that students attend a Presbyterian-based school, such as the National Presbyterian College Scholarship, while others allow for Presbyterian Church members to attend any accredited institution. Many of these awards require that applicant have at least a 2.5 GPA and demonstrate financial need. Some privately-funded scholarships are awarded to students who are members of their local church; application requirements beyond church membership vary for these funds.
