Scholarships for Natural Resources Majors
As dramatic as it sounds, natural resources majors are going to save the world. And, as global warming continues to worsen with each passing year, their efforts are more important than ever. However, saving the planet doesn’t exempt you from the cost of higher education. If you’re a Natural Resources Major struggling to pay for your degree, you might want to consider looking into a scholarship. Some of the available majors are offered by companies and organizations such as the Environmental Consortium of Colleges and Universities, the United Negro College Fund, the American Association of University Women, the New England Water Works Association, the National Ground Water Association and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. Others are provided by individual schools such as California State University Santa Barbara and California State University Stanislaus. In general, potential recipients will need to meet a minimum grade point average, demonstrate a certain level of financial need, exhibit a passionate interest in conservation or write an essay.
