Scholarships for Grandchildren of Veterans
Thanks to their grandparents’ courageous service, grandchildren of veterans have access to an array of college opportunities. If you’re the grandchild of a veteran and you’re trying to figure out how to pay for college, you may qualify for one or more scholarships. Many of the available scholarships are funded by various foundations and organizations such as the American Legion Auxiliary, the EOD Warrior Foundation, AMVETS, the Seabee Memorial Scholarship Association and the Second Marine Division Association. Some are even provided by individual schools, such as the University of Baltimore. In order to apply, students will generally be required to provide documentation of their grandparents’ military service, meet a minimum grade point average, write an essay or submit official transcripts.
