Scholarships for Foreign Nationals

International students who wish to pursue their higher education in the U.S. could face financial difficulties when it comes to tuition. Luckily, there are many sources of scholarships for foreign nationals. These sources include foundations, private corporations, educational organizations, professional associations and colleges and universities. The Fulbright Education Exchange Program is a federal program managed by the U.S. Department of State; funds from this program benefit foreign students studying in the U.S. More than 160 countries participate in this program. An extensive application process must be completed to be eligible for this award. Various corporations and individual schools also offer scholarships for foreign nationals. Eligibility requirements vary, but may include applicants pursuing a particular field of study, previous academic achievement and financial need.
