Scholarships for Filipinos
As of the 2010 census, there were more than 3 million Filipino Americans living in the U.S. If you count yourself among that number, you may be eligible for one or more college scholarships. Most scholarships for Filipino students are offered by various organizations and foundations such as the Asian Pacific Fund, the U.S. Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce Education Foundation, the Asian and Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund. Others are offered by individual schools such as Boston College and Wesleyan University. Requirements may vary depending on which scholarship you apply to, but students will generally need to provide documentation of their Filipino ancestry, meet a minimum grade point average, show community involvement or demonstrate a certain level of financial need.
