Scholarships for Emergency Services Majors
Emergency services majors can specialize in emergency management, fire and emergency services and Emergency Medical Services (EMS). However, all Emergency Services Majors have to pay for their degree, regardless of their specialty. If you’re an Emergency Services Major trying to figure out how to cover the cost of your education, it might be worth your time to apply to one or more scholarships. Some scholarships are offered by both national and regional organizations and companies such as the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians, the International Public Safety Leadership and Ethics Institute, Bound Tree Medical, the Maryland Emergency Management Association, the San Francisco Paramedic Association, the N.C. Association of Rescue and EMS and the Rockingham Regional Ambulance Association. Others are provided by individual schools such as Indiana University Purdue, Arkansas Tech University, the College of Southern Idaho and the Oakland Community College EMS Academy. In general, applying students will need to meet a minimum grade point average, demonstrate a certain level of financial need and submit official transcripts.
