If you’re a resident of Baltimore, Maryland, then you already have something in common with legends like Billie Holiday, Edgar Allan Poe, Frederick Douglass and Babe Ruth. You do have one thing that they didn’t, however: access to residence-based college scholarships. Many of these scholarships are offered by the Baltimore Community Foundation, some of which come with awards of more than $20,000 or more. Others are provided by the many colleges surrounding Baltimore, such as Morgan State University, Notre Dame of Maryland University, Baltimore City Community College, Coppin State University and the Maryland Institute College of Art.
