Scholarships for Rhode Island Residents
Despite it's small size, Rhode Island's commitment to higher education is big. As such, there are many scholarships available to residents of the Ocean State. And if you live in Rhode Island or plan to attend one of the state's 12 accredited colleges and universities, such as the University of Rhode Island, Brown University or the Community College of Rhode Island, you might be eligible for one. Scholarships may be funded by business groups, nonprofit foundations, government agencies or individual schools. In addition to residency requirements, applicants may need to meet a minimum GPA. Choice of major, financial need or membership in an underrepresented group also may be considered. If you're a Rhode Island resident, be sure to check out the scholarship opportunities below.
