Scholarships for Public Health Majors

A degree in public health can open the door to a variety of fulfilling careers, such as researcher, nutritionist and public health administrator, just to name a few. But before you can use your public health degree to do some good in the community, you need to earn it. And that means paying for college. The good news is that there are many scholarships available for public health majors. Medical organizations, nonprofit foundations and individual schools frequently award these scholarships. To qualify, candidates typically need to be enrolled or accepted into a public health program at an accredited school. Some scholarships may be reserved for graduating high school seniors, while others are available to current college students. Financial need, ethnic background and gender also may be considered.
