Scholarships for Physics Majors

Before aspiring physicists can begin to tackle the mysteries of the universe, they need to figure out how to pay for college. The good news: There are many scholarships available for physics majors. Some of the these scholarships are funded by government organizations, such as the United States Department of Homeland Security and the United States Department of Energy, while others are awarded by individual universities, such as James Madison University and Ohio State University. In order to be eligible, students typically need to meet a minimum GPA requirement and submit academic transcripts. Submission of an essay and letters of recommendation also may be required.
