Scholarships for New Mexico Residents

From sprawling deserts to snowy mountains, New Mexico is a sight to behold. If you’re a resident of the Land of Enchantment, you already know this. What you might not know, however, is that your New Mexico residency could make you eligible for a college scholarship. A great deal of the available scholarships are provided by the state of New Mexico, including the College Affordability Grant, the Legislative Lottery Success Scholarships, the New Mexico Student Incentive Grant and the Legislative Endowment Scholarship. Others are funded by individual schools, such as the University of New Mexico, New Mexico State University, Central New Mexico Community College and the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology. Applicants are typically required to meet a minimum grade point average and display a certain level of financial need, and may also need to obtain letters of recommendation or demonstrate academic achievement. To find out more about scholarships for New Mexico residents, read on.
