Scholarships for Michigan Residents

From the cityscape of Detroit to the shorelines of the Great Lakes, Michigan has a little bit of everything, and that includes scholarships. If you’re a Michigan resident, you may qualify for one or more scholarships simply by living in the Mitten State. Many of the available scholarships are provided by the state of Michigan, including the Michigan Tuition Grant, the Michigan Competitive Scholarship and the Tuition Incentive Program, as well as several other scholarships for students in special circumstances. Others are funded by individual colleges and universities, such as the University of Michigan, Michigan State University, Western Michigan University and Oakland Community College. Potential recipients may be required to meet a minimum grade point average, display a certain level of financial need, demonstrate academic achievement or write a submission essay.
