Scholarships for Massachusetts Residents
The historic state of Massachusetts has a lot to offer. In the past, it was the first colony in New England, and today it’s a hub of cutting-edge technology and higher education. While higher education doesn’t come cheap in Massachusetts (or any other state, for that matter), Bay Staters may be eligible for a number of scholarships simply by living there. Many of the available scholarships are provided by the state of Massachusetts, such as the Vision Project, MASSGrant, Need-Based Tuition Waivers and the Paul Tsongas Scholarship. Others are funded by some of the state’s many universities, including Harvard University, Tufts University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Boston University and Middlesex Community College. Potential recipients may need to meet a minimum grade point average, display a certain level of financial need, demonstrate academic achievement or write a submission essay.
