Kendall County, Ill., is many things: quaint, lush and welcoming, to name a few. However, paying for college in Kendall County isn’t any easier than it is in any other county. Luckily, there are a number of scholarships exclusively designated for Kendall County residents. Many of the available scholarships are funded by the Fox River Valley Community Foundation, which provides nearly 200 scholarships to students in Kendall County, as well as southern Kane County and the city of Aurora. Other scholarships are provided by individual colleges, including Waubonsee Community College and Joliet Junior College. In general, applying students will need to demonstrate academic achievement or display financial need.
