Scholarships for Kansas Residents
Kansas is more than just the home of Dorothy Gale. The Sunflower State also boasts a thriving agricultural industry, a large portion of the Great Plains and a number of scenic rivers. If you live in Kansas, your resident status may also have the added benefit of making you eligible for a variety of college scholarships. Many of the available scholarships are provided by the state of Kansas, such as the Kansas Scholars Program, the Career Technical Workforce Grant, the Distinguished Scholars Program and the Kansas Ethnic Minority Scholarship. Others are funded by individual universities, including the University of Kansas, Wichita State University, Butler Community College and Washburn University. Potential recipients may need to meet a minimum grade point average, demonstrate a certain level of financial need or write a submission essay.
