Scholarships for Iowa Residents

From the glowing skyline of Des Moines to the rolling, grassy prairies, there’s a lot of things to love about living in Iowa. Want another? Iowa residents may be eligible for a number of college scholarships simply by living in the Hawkeye State. Many of the available scholarships are funded by the state of Iowa and the federal government, including the All Iowa Opportunity Scholarships, the Iowa Tuition Grants, the Robert D. Blue Scholarship and the Robert C. Byrd Honors Scholarship. Others are provided by individual universities, such as Iowa State University, the University of Iowa, Drake University and Des Moines Area Community College. Depending on which scholarship they apply for, students may be required to meet a minimum grade point average, demonstrate a certain level of financial need, write an application essay or display exceptional academic achievement.
