Scholarships for Home Economics Majors
Home economics is a broad field which gives students the opportunity to specialize in many different topics, from childcare to fashion design. If you’re a home economics major trying to figure out how to cover the cost of your education, you might want to consider applying for a scholarship. A number of available scholarships are offered by individual universities, such as Norfolk State University and New Mexico State University. Others are funded by nonprofit organizations, such as Kappa Omicron Nu, the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region and the Marshfield Area Community Foundation. Potential recipients are usually required to meet a minimum grade point average, and may also need to submit an essay, demonstrate leadership qualities or display a certain level of financial need.
