Scholarships for Criminology Majors
While a degree in criminal justice focuses on what happens after a person commits a crime, a degree in criminology is concerned with why people commit crimes in the first place. As a student, however, you’re probably concerned with the cost of your education more than anything else, and a scholarship may be able to help. Many scholarships for criminology majors are available through individual universities, including Washington State University, the University of Northern Iowa, Ball State University and the University of Nebraska. Others are funded by professional organizations, such as the American Association of Criminology. Applying students will generally be required to meet a minimum grade point average, display financial need or write a submission essay.
