Scholarships for Automotive Majors
Automotive majors learn about a variety of topics, from auto body and paint to NASCAR and pit crews. Learning doesn’t come cheap, however, and a degree in automotive studies is no exception. If you’re an automotive major looking for ways to pay for your college education, you might want to consider applying for a scholarship. Many of the available scholarships are provided by nonprofit foundations, such as the Universal Technical Institutes Foundation, the William Burke Student Support Fund and the Automotive Women’s Alliance Program. Others are offered by professional organizations, like the Automotive Hall of Fame and the Alliance of Automotive Service Provides, while still more are funded by individual colleges, including Houston Community College and South Arkansas Community College. Potential recipients typically need to meet a minimum grade point average of 2.0 or higher, obtain letters of recommendation, demonstrate financial need, display community involvement or all of the above.
