Scholarships for Asian and Pacific Islander Students

Academics and athletics aren't the only criteria used for awarding scholarships. Students can be eligible for scholarships based on their ethnic background, as well. There are many scholarships available to students of Asian or Pacific Islander descent. While some of these scholarships – many of which are awarded by foundations and other nonprofit groups – are open to students from a variety of minority groups, others are available specifically to Asian and Pacific Islander students. Eligibility requirements may include having a minimum GPA – often ranging between 2.5 and 3.0 – and having financial need. Some scholarships are reserved for students pursuing a specific course of study, such as business administration, political science or teaching.
