Scholarships for Art Majors
Having a passion for art and a desire to major in the subject does not mean you need to resign yourself to being a “starving artist” as you complete college. There are plenty of scholarships available to help students with a love and talent for the arts fund their educations. Many scholarships for art majors are provided by local community foundations. Others are provided by national organizations that seek to advance the arts in society. Scholarships for art majors generally look for applicants with good academic standing and a demonstrable talent in a particular art form. Some scholarships ask for the submission of artwork, along with letters of recommendation and personal statements. Look through the list below to find a scholarship to fund your degree in the arts.
