This scholarship was established to benefit students of health information technology or informatics. The purpose of this scholarship to promote the development of emerging leaders in health information technology management. Applicants must be a member of National HIMSS and the Virginia Chapter.

    The applicant must be attending a school in Virginia. Applicants must be attending classes at the time the scholarship is awarded at any Virginia accredited college/university.
  • Major/Career:
    Applicants must be attending classes at the time the scholarship is awarded at any Virginia accredited college/university related to healthcare, the management of information systems and affiliated professions.
  • Organization:
    The applicant must be a member in good standing of HIMSS;The applicant must be a member of National HIMSS and the Virginia Chapter.
  • Miscellaneous:
    Applicants must be willing to actively participate as a Student Liaison to the Chapter Board if selected. Previous Foundation Scholarship winners are ineligible.
  • Other Benefits:
    The winner will also receive an all-expense paid trip to the Awards Gala at the Annual HIMSS Conference and Exhibition.
