The scholarship was established by the Thirty Meter Telescope (TMT) International Partnership to provide financial support to students who are actively pursuing an associate degree, undergraduate degree, graduate degree, or certificate for the purpose of working in a STEM (science, technology, engineering or math) occupation on Hawaii Island at an accredited, two or four-year, not-for-profit institution within the US.

Eligibility Requirements
- Age/Grade Level:Undergraduate or Graduate student
- Minimum GPA:2.70
- Financial Need:Required
- Other Academic Requirements:Attend as a full-time student (as determined by your schools financial aid office)
- Residence:Resident of Hawaii County in the State of Hawaii
- College:Attend an accredited, two or four-year, not-for-profit institution within the US
- Major/Career:Pursuing STEM (science, technology, engineering or math) related occupation
- Other Benefits:Scholarship is renewable
