Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation

This fellowship was established to honor Dr. Nancy Weiss Malkiel on her 40th year of service on the Woodrow Wilson Foundation Board. The fellowship aims to support junior faculty in tenure-track appointments at U.S. institutions who are pursuing tenure. Applicants must be working in any field of the humanities or social sciences and whose work echoes and elaborates topics related to 20th- and 21st-century American history, politics, culture, and society, with emphases including but not limited to African American issues, womens issues, and/or higher education.

    Applicants eligible for the Malkiel Fellowship will be assistant professors, who must have passed their third-year review, may be working in any field of the humanities or social sciences.

    Two (2) letters of recommendation from senior colleagues that speak to the applicants scholarly promise as well as to her/his demonstrated affinity for teaching, advising, and service.

    - A completed online application- A curriculum vit- Abstract of a current manuscript, conference paper, or article, along with a brief explanation of the relationship of this work to the tenure portfolio- A simple budget developed using this template.
