This scholarship was established in memory of Michael Garofano to benefit undergraduate and graduate level students. Applicants must be pursuing study in the field of civil engineering, environmental engineering, or water operations or related science program at a college/university in New England. NEWWA (New England Water Works Association) membership is required to be eligible for this scholarship.

    Applicants must be members of NEWWA.

    A one-page (maximum) statement of educational plans and career objectives demonstrating how these plans are beneficial to water works practice in New England.

    Two letters of recommendation (one must be from a teacher/professor; the second may be from a teacher/professor or professional reference such as an employer);
  • Other Materials:
    Official student application form;Copy of FAFSA (Free Applications for Federal Student Aid) confirmation.
