The scholarship was established by the Kim and Harold Louie Family to award outstanding high school seniors who have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership qualities, community service and/or outstanding personal achievements

Eligibility Requirements

  • Age/Grade Level:
    High school seniors
  • Minimum GPA:
    3.50
  • Financial Need:
    Required
  • Other Academic Requirements:
    Have a minimum SAT score of 1900; either full-time or substantial part-time, and plan to enroll in a minimum of two terms for the school year; outstanding personal achievements
  • Citizenship:
    First-generation immigrants to the United States
  • College:
    Have applied and gained acceptance to a U.S. college/university or vocational program
  • Military:
    Parents that are United States veterans
  • Miscellaneous:
    who have parents that did not attend college

  • Recommendation Letters:
    Have at least one reference letter from a current or former teacher in an academic subject.

    A copy of the acceptance letter from the college or university
