The Helen N. & Harold B. Shapira Heart Medical Scholarship

American Heart Association - Greater Midwest Affiliate

This scholarship was established by the Heart American Association to support Medical students currently enrolled in a Minnesota state medical school. Students must be working in a curriculum with potential application to patients with diseases of the heart and blood vessel system. This scholarship can be renewed for a second year provided that the students maintain satisfactory scholastic progress.

    Two letters of recommendation (Instructors, Dean, etc.)

    A completed application form;Abstract of project (200 words);Project description aims, background, facilities/expertise available, method (two pages, single spaced);proof of current enrollment in a Minnesota college or university at the time of the application and again at the time of award should they be selected to receive a scholarship;Sponsors curriculum vitae.
