To be eligible, the applicant must pursue a study major in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or STEM-related field, including vocational-technical fields in a two-year or four-year, accredited college institution in Hawai`i or the continental U.S.

Eligibility Requirements
- Age/Grade Level:Must be either a classified undergraduate or graduate student
- Minimum GPA:2.50
- Financial Need:Required
- Other Academic Requirements:Must be full-time enrollment
- Residence:Must be Hawai`i island resident
- College:Must be enrolled in a two-year or four-year, accredited college institution in Hawai`i or the continental U.S.
- Major/Career:Must pursue a study major in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or STEM-related field, including vocational-technical fields
- Miscellaneous:Must demonstrate interest in Hawaiian language, culture, history; Must demonstrate a commitment to contribute to the greater community
