Applicants must be planning to enroll or enrolled at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university or in an accredited graduate school program. Award amount can be used for college or graduate school expenses including tuition, fees, books, and on-campus room and board.

Eligibility Requirements
- Gender:Female
- Age/Grade Level:All applicants must be either: (1) a high school or home school student who graduated or earned a GED (or will graduate/earn a GED) between August 1, 2014, and June 1, 2015, who will enroll as a freshman at a two-year or four-year college or university in fall 2015, or (2) a student enrolled during the 2014-15 academic year on a full-time basis and in good academic standing at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university or in an accredited graduate school program, who will continue such full-time enrollment throughout the entire 2015-2016 academic year.
- Financial Need:Not Required
- Residence:Be permanent legal residents of the United States (or U.S. citizens).
- Citizenship:Be U.S. citizens (or permanent legal residents of the United States.)
- College:Will enroll as a freshman at a two-year or four-year college or university. A student enrolled during the 2014-15 academic year on a full-time basis and in good academic standing at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university or in an accredited graduate school program.
- Major/Career:All applicants must be female students studying computer science, computer engineering or a related field.

- Essay:The subject matter for essay entries must pertain to one of the following topics:Please write a 400-500 word essay about your experience as a female student in a tech-related field: how you got interested in your chosen subject, what challenges or issues you have faced, what you plan to do with your major, your career goals, etc.
