Sandra M. Glazier Scholarship Fund

This scholarship was started in memory of Sandra M. Glazier, was the co-founder of the Cancer Concern Center of Point Pleasant. She was elected to represent women battling cancer by the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and was featured in the 2001 My Hope Calendar. Sandy was a vibrant person with a zest for life, and an inspiration to all. She passed away on October 22nd, 2001 after seven years of battling metastatic breast cancer. This scholarship was created by Sandy's Family and friends to provide financial assistance for college study to graduating high school seniors whose parents have been stricken by cancer, or who have been afflicted themselves. This is a tribute to Sandys life and interests, a reminder of her battle against cancer and her success as a mother, wife and breast cancer advocate.

Eligibility Requirements
- Age/Grade Level:A graduating senior from high school in Ocean or Monmouth County, NJ.
- Financial Need:Not Required
- School:Student must be graduating from a high school in either Ocean or Monmouth County, New Jersey.
- College:Student must be accepted as a full-time student at an accredited college, university or vocational school.
- Disability:Student must have a parent who has been or is afflicted with cancer; or must be battling cancer him/herself.

- Recommendation Letters:Attach two letters of recommendation, from a teacher, counselor, principal, and/or community member who has worked with you and knows you well. In addition, a treating physician must support and validate the need for our consideration of you for this award.
- Other Materials:A completed application form;A copy of your letter of acceptance to the school you plan to attend;A copy of your Student Aid Reportgenerated by FAFSA;A copy of your college financial aid award letter;A letter of support and validation from a treating physician.
