- Age/Grade Level:Must be either a classified undergraduate or graduate student
- Minimum GPA:3.0
- Financial Need:Required
- College:Must be enrolled in a two-year or four-year, accredited college institution in Hawai`i or the continental U.S.
- Major/Career:Must pursue a study major in social work, social sciences or the ministry
- Miscellaneous:Must demonstrate interest in Hawaiian language, culture, history; Must demonstrate a commitment to contribute to the greater community

- Essay:Essay describing your reasons for pursuing a degree in social work, social sciences or ministry vocation and how you have already applied these character traits into your own life: faith, friendship, sense of humor, sincerity, and willingness to assist others with time, talent and servants heart.
- Recommendation Letters:Must submit two letters of recommendation; One from a teacher and one from a community or religious organization who can comment on your overall character, achievement, and contribution to serve the greater community
- Other Materials:Must submit Student Aid Report (SAR) from the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
