Phil Trumbo Memorial Scholarship was established in memory of Phil Trumbo. Phil has been a resident of Montrose for forty two years, owning and operating the Best Western Red Arrow for most of those years. This scholarship provides encouragement to deserving student who values education and has a commitment to succeed in studies related to business, math, science, or engineering, and most importantly in life.

    Applicants must be graduating seniors of Montrose High School or Olathe High School.
  • Minimum GPA:
    3.0
  • Financial Need:
    Preferred
  • School:
    Applicants must be graduating seniors of Montrose High School or Olathe High School and must have attended Montrose High School or Olathe High School for a minimum of three years.
  • College:
    Applicants must have been accepted at a four-year college or university.
  • Major/Career:
    Applicants must be declaring a major in math, science, business or engineering.

    Scholarship applications are evaluated on an objective and competitive basis, considering academic and nonacademic factors such as financial need, leadership, community service, and special circumstances.
