Ph.D. Science Fellowship
The National GEM Consurtium
This fellowship program was established for the purpose of increasing the number of minority students pursuing doctoral degrees in the natural science disciplines such as chemistry, physics, earth sciences, mathematics, biological sciences, and computer science. Stipend and a cost of instruction grant will be remitted to the institution where the fellow is enrolled during the first academic year of the award. Thereafter, financial support will be supported by the GEM University up to the fifth year of the doctoral program.

Eligibility Requirements
- Age/Grade Level:Applicant must be a senior, masters student, or graduate of an accredited applied science program at the time of application.
- Minimum GPA:3.0
- Financial Need:Not Mentioned
- Residence:Applicants must be a U.S. permanent resident (or U.S. citizen) at time of application
- Citizenship:Applicants must be a U.S. citizen (or U.S. permanent resident) at time of application.
- Major/Career:The goal of this program is to increase the number of minority students who pursue doctoral degrees in the natural science disciplines chemistry, physics, earth sciences, mathematics, biological sciences, and computer science.

- Miscellaneous:Applicants must contractually agree to intern with a GEM Employer member the Summer immediately after sponsorship.
- Other Benefits:A minimum of one paid summer internship with a GEM Employer Member. Full tuition and fees at a GEM University Member.
