The fellowship is available to individuals who have spent a year as a Member of the ASCSA and have an approved dissertation proposal. Applicant who already hold a Ph.D. be at the beginning of the teaching career and without tenure. Projects may focus on any period of study in the humanities, although preference will be given to topics dealing with classical antiquity.
