Eligibility Requirements
- Gender:Female
- Age/Grade Level:Must be 9, 10, 11 or 12 grade
- Minimum GPA:2.50

- Other Academic Requirements:Be registered as a full-time student
- School:Must be a student from Shawnee High School
- College:Must be pursuing a full-time study at any academically accredited (not for profit) two-year, four-year, or vocational-technical institution
- Athletics:Preference may be given to female basketball players

- Essay:Please write an essay in which you share information about yourself and your goals: (a) Who and how did someone inspire you to continue your education? (b) Describe a defining moment in your life, and if it was a negative experience, how did you turn it around? (c) Describe a high school classroom activity or assignment that was challenging and gave you a feeling of mastery when completed. (d) Write about an adult you have met through an extracurricular activity who prompted you to consider a career or profession like theirs. Please include reference to your academic/career goals, as well as your extracurricular involvements if applicable. (500 word maximum.); How has athletics impacted your past, present and future? (Please limit to 500 words.)
- Recommendation Letters:Please submit the name and email address of someone--teacher/professor, guidance counselor, principal, community leader, or employer--who can submit a letter of recommendation on your behalf. The person you request a letter from should be able to speak to your abilities and capacity in the areas of education, leadership and community service.
