The scholarship was founded in memory of Judy Van Valer to honor her 37 years of art education at Greenwood Middle School where she fostered creativity in all who entered her classroom. The scholarship is open to graduating seniors or past graduates of Greenwood Community High School, Marion, or Hamilton County high schools who are enrolled or planning to enroll full-time at an accredited public or private college or university in Indiana.
