John Carter Brown Library Short- and Long-Term Fellowships
Organization of American Historians
The John Carter Brown Library (JCB) offers two fellowships, short-term and long-term, for advanced research on Brown University. Approximately forty residential fellowships for the year 2016 to 2017 will be awarded. Short-term fellowships will receive a monthly stipend of $2,100 while long-term fellowships are given $4,200 monthly stipend. Scholars and writers working on all aspects of the Americas in the early modern period ware eligible to apply.

Eligibility Requirements
- Age/Grade Level:Open to US and foreign citizens who are engaged in pre- or post-doctoral or independent research. Graduate students must have passed their preliminary or general examinations at the time of application.
- Financial Need:Not Mentioned
- Residence:Long-Term Fellowships must have lived in the US for the three years preceding the application deadline (or must be a US citizen)
- Citizenship:Short-term Fellowships are open to US and foreign citizens ;Long-Term Fellowships must be a US citizen (or have lived in the US for the three years preceding the application deadline)
