Honorable Cynthia S. Emkes Scholarship was established in honor of the first female judge elected in Johnson County. The scholarship is given to law students with preference to female applicants.

    Applicants must be a past graduate of Johnson County, IN and attending or planning to attend an accredited Indiana Law School.
  • Extracurricular:
    Applicants must demonstrate a history of community involvement with emphasis on leadership roles.
  • Miscellaneous:
    Female applicants have first priority, if there are no suitable female applicants male applicants may be considered.
