The GAPAs George Choy Memorial Scholarship aims to provide financial assistance to lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender Asian and Pacific Islanders (APIs) entering their first or second year of post-secondary education. Applicants must live in one of the nine Bay Area counties and have a grade point average (GPA) of 2.75 or better.

Eligibility Requirements

- Residence:Must live in one of the nine Bay Area counties (Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Napa, Sonoma, and Solano)
- College:Applying to or are currently attending a post-secondary institution (college, university, or vocational school)
- Ethnicity:Self-identify as an Asian/Pacific Islander (at least 25% API ancestry)
- Extracurricular:Priority will be given to those who are involved in the LGBT community
- Miscellaneous:Priority will be given to those who self-identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender
