This scholarship was established in memory of Fern Dierkes, a high school graduate who wanted to be a nurse but don't have the financial ability to attend college. A family friend paid her tuition and she was determined to to pay forward the generous act. This scholarship aims to benefit graduating seniors from North Adams High School who are residents of Adams County. Applicants must be pursuing a degree in Nursing or Healthcare and demonstrate financial need.
